Does Colony need to be refrigerated?

Colony does not require refrigeration due to its limited concentration.  There are myths that nitrifying bacteria is only fresh if it is refrigerated.  This is only true if the concentration exceeds that of which is found in Colony, otherwise it is unnecessary.  Refrigerated concentrate, which ATM provides to industry, is highly concentrated and treats thousands of liters, but is expensive to ship in a refrigerated manner.  Shelf stable Colony is far more efficient for the home aquarist in handling and cost.  In fact, ATM uses shelf stable Colony far more often than refrigerated concentrate.  Colony also does not require refrigeration after opening.  It is kept viable due to the solution in the bottle.
