Why do I use the entire Colony bottle instead of small doses?
Nitrifying bacteria are essentially livestock. In order to establish proper bio-filtration we want millions and millions of bacteria for a given size system. It is completely unnecessary and counterproductive to rapidly establishing bio-filtration to not utilize all of the bacteria from the beginning. The current dosages in Colony is the maximum concentration possible for true nitrifying bacteria in a shelf-stable format. Beyond this concentration, refrigeration and a shorter shelf life accompany it.
